This past weekend was one for the history books!!! Inter Wichita was able to host the first ever Wichita Adult League Soccer Derby with Inter and Sporting both chasing their first win of their inaugural season. The game was scheduled to kickoff at 3pm at our temporary home field in Trinity Academy. Both teams had been eager for this match up and the only thing that could prevent kickoff was the weather. It had started off cloudy with some chances of rain, but as kickoff time approached, chances of rain had diminished to 10% (Showers), so the derby was still on!

Fans started flocking in early, and for it’s first derby, the turnout wasn’t too shabby. Inter Wichita was blessed to have the City’s finest and most sought out commentators (Zachary Light & Johnny Freedom) behind the microphones for the live broadcast. Everything went to plan, besides the final score, but it was such an amazing experience and we definitely felt the love from the fans who we could not do this without!
