About Us

Formerly known as Shocks Athletic Club, the team was renamed to International Wichita in order to join the UPSL in 2021. The teams’ mission is to provide additional exposure and playing opportunities to adults and youths living in Wichita and the surrounding areas. Considering how fast soccer is growing in the USA, the team has made it a priority to make the city of Wichita and it’s environs a part of the growth.

The team is lead by a board of directors with Yves-Alain Aka Kouame as the Executive Director. In 2019 Aka started an administrative internship with the Wichita Wings of the Major Arena Soccer League. During his time there Aka gained a lot of knowledge and experience with sports management and eventually managed to gather the necessary resources and partnerships to launch International Wichita FC.

Our mission is to foster a love for the beautiful game while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. We strive to create an environment where our players can develop their skills, reach their full potential, and enjoy the camaraderie of their teammates. We believe that through hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude, we can achieve success both on and off the field

Our ultimate goal is to create a legacy of excellence and to inspire the next generation of soccer players. We focus on improving player weaknesses while reinforcing their strengths.

International Wichita welcomes sponsors, partners and donors to assist our teams’ players and coaches offset the costs of individual team expenses. The financial support of local business and organizations truly makes a difference to our team and has a direct positive impact in our local communities.

Being a local team, we work very hard to minimize the costs incurred by our players, so our team utilizes sponsorship and donated monies to offset the team costs and assist players with financial needs.
