Players and Parents,
We would like to sincerely thank all of the parents and players for dedicating their precious time, persevering the cold and coming out for the tryouts. Your enthusiasm and passion for the game is greatly appreciated by all of us at Inter Wichita. We would also like to thank Coach Derrett and any volunteers who devoted their time to make our tryouts professional and organized. A big thank you also goes out to Stryker Sports Complex for their support and flexibility.
Tryouts don’t suit all players, just like exams don’t suit all students. To further evaluate the group, the coach will invite back a smaller group of players for a second tryout, this way, he can further evaluate the group and give everyone the opportunity to further express and showcase themselves.
The tryouts process is never an easy one for players, parents or coaches but we feel that we have been extremely diligent with our processes. Having said that, We would encourage everyone (parents and players) to make the most of your opportunity, work as hard as you can and strive to make yourself a better player.
For those players who were unsuccessful this time, We would like to sincerely thank you for your participation and efforts. As disappointing as it can be, We would strongly encourage you to keep working on your game and not to give up. We highly recommend participating in any development programs throughout the summer and the rest of the year to help build up your skills and develop your knowledge. We would also like to invite you to receive some feedback on where to improve, so please don’t be shy to stay in contact with us.
